When using CEREC to construct a restoration, our dentist will scan your teeth so impressions are not needed. The images are uploaded to a computer, where they are used to digitally design your restoration. Once your crown, dental bridge, or veneer is designed, our dentist will construct it using a milling machine. The milling process typically only takes a few minutes. After the restoration is complete, our dentist will check its fit, make any necessary adjustments, and permanently cement it in place.
Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, or CEramic REConstruction (CEREC®), is a system that allows all-ceramic restorations to be made in one visit, instead of the usual 1-2 weeks. This eliminates the inconvenience of temporary restorations and dual visits to have a restoration placed. Dental restorations are structures constructed to replace or restore missing teeth or missing portions of teeth. Our dentist, Dr. James D. Powell, is excited to provide CEREC in Palmdale, California, to provide you with a more comfortable, efficient dental experience. CEREC is used to construct restorations like dental crowns, dental bridges, and veneers.
